Background
Founded in 2024 in Fargo, North Dakota, Proof Of Print grew out of a practical discovery made in a basement workshop. While Bitcoin miners were being run in the space, their heat helped create a warmer, more stable environment for 3D printing, improving print quality and revealing an unexpected overlap between the two technologies.
That experience led to a broader realization: the heat produced by Bitcoin mining hardware could be used intentionally within additive manufacturing systems rather than treated as a byproduct to be discarded. In that sense, the idea sits naturally within the Heatpunk movement, applying computation-generated heat to real physical work.
Early prototype work helped validate the concept and shape the company's direction. Today, Proof Of Print is focused on advancing the technology, building strategic relationships, and moving toward production-ready deployment.
